About me:
My life has been devoted to animal care since a young age. With a BS in Zoology, I spend my professional life promoting conservation worldwide. I received professional training in animal husbandry & training with a national association, and also volunteer when I can at our local wildlife center where I received training on wildlife rescue and clinical care. Ferrets stole my heart in my teenage years, and I got my first ferret in 1993. It was then that I took on the hobby of showing ferrets, and thus the pursuit of excellence had begun!
About Amy's Wascally Weasels:
I started Amy's Wascally Weasels ferretry in 2008 as a very small-scale ferretry that will only have a limited number of kits available each or every other breeding season. My breeding philosophy is to produce kits with the best temperament, conformation, and longevity that will make excellent pet or show ferrets. All kits are handled, loved, and played with by the adults and children in our family. We also have other pets, so they will start their life off highly socialized to other pets and people. All ferrets in our home are tested at least annually for ADV and are negetive.
